PM wins Shujaat�s support for 20th Amendment

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Wednesday won the support of PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain for the 20th constitutional amendment bill, who assured his party support for the passage of the constitutional amendment from both the houses of the parliament.

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani held a meeting with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain Wednesday to take him into confidence about the proposed 20th constitutional amendment. The meeting was held after a team of PPP ministers, led by Syed Khursheed Shah, failed to get the PML-Q support for the proposed amendment bill that relates to legalise all the bye-elections held after the passage of the 18th constitutional amendment.
