Symptoms

UK  or Ireland customers attempting to access Netflix for the first time via Apple TV may encounter this alert:

"Netflix is currently unavailable. Try again later."

Resolution

In order to successfully use Netflix in the UK or Ireland, Apple TV will need to go through a one-time restart.

To restart your Apple TV:

Press and hold Menu and Down on your Apple Remote for six seconds, then release when you see the LED light on the Apple TV flash rapidly.
