The NASC is looking into the reported delay in flights and grounding of Pakistan International Airlines’ (PIA) aircraft during the Hajj operation-2011.
The additional secretary of the committee, in a meeting held here, briefed the participants about the procedure to elect the Chairman. The meeting was attended, among others, by Members of the NA Syed Sumsam Ali Shah Bukhari, Sheikh Salahuddin, Nosheen Saeed and Masood Abbas.
The NA body decided to hold its next meeting on January 25, which will be attended by the Managing Director of the PIA and other relevant officers from the Ministry of Defence. The committee will be briefed on the reasons behind the delay in Hajj flights and losses to the national flag-carrier besides restructuring of PIA.
