PAF plane crashes in Turkish sea, pilot missing

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Air Force aircraft crashed during a training mission in sea near the Azmeer Airbase in Turkey on Monday. The PAF spokesman said Squadron leader Masood Hussain had taken the plane from Azmeer Airbase to train a Turkish trainee pilot when it crashed into the sea.

He said that any casualty could not be ascertained yet in the incident, adding the main reason of the plane crash was not known. The spokesman said that a rescue team had recovered some parts of the crashed aircraft from the sea while instructor pilot Masood Hussain and the Turkish trainee pilot could not be recovered till the filing of this report. The rescue operation is currently underway.
